for jobseekers
To become one of our jobseeking clients, first phone 377 2141 to make an appointment for a registration interview. You will need to bring your CV (we can help you with a CV if necessary), so bring it with you if you have one.
The interview will typically take approximately 1 hour. There is some paperwork (eg an Agreement form to sign) and updating your CV - if that should be necessary - will be discussed. On the main registration form you will indicate contact details, interests, the kind of work you are looking for, and things you have done in the past such as previous jobs, voluntary work, training, and qualifications. This paperwork, including your CV, will be kept on file in our office. (We would also like to keep an electronic copy of your CV, ie a Word file).
Once you are registered, you have the opportunity of being part of an ongoing support process.
Once we also have your CV, you may be considered for any of our jobs. Check the vacancies list, either on this website or the physical list posted outside the 40+ office, and if you see a jobs that interests you, let us know your name and the job numbers. Appropriate applications will be sent to the correct employers, who are asked to contact candidates directly after this.
We also offer other services designed to help you get a job, e.g.:
